It is the biggest beach of the island: a sandy strip of nearly a kilometer and a half. It covers a large part of the coast that faces the Gulf of Campo, from port to the location Foce, entirely within the urban area that gives its name to the beach. It is protected within the Gulf, only exposed to winds south. Very crowded, offers all the services, having experienced a large urban core. Historically, this beach has always been a cause for concern because of landings pirates. It is no coincidence that here was attempted landing ally the island, in 1944.
The beach is in homonym country in the centre of the island.
